365 days project - week 25

Day 175

I was walking out to the shops when I noticed how wonderful my neighbour's white roses looked contrasted against the brilliant blue sky this evening.

Day 174

Day 173 - Come on England!

Big match tomorrow! This is my neighbour's house (I can't bring myself to put the flags out - I'll save my support for the match).

Day 172 - Summer Feet

It's great when I finally get a chance to free my feet and put on my summer footwear for work.

Excuse the awful state of my pasty pale legs, and the awful state of my dying lawn!

Day 171 - Sunshine!

It's been a gorgeous day!  Hope it stays this way for the rest of the week.

Day 170 - Lavender

Day 169 - Blow your vuvuzela

I went to the pub this evening to watch England's World Cup game against Algeria.  It was rubbish!  0-0 draw, but I did manage to get myself a free vuvuzela which they were giving away, so I entertained myself by blowing on this all night.

Day 164 - Taste of Summer

Day 163 - Sisters

I went to a friend's barbecue today.  It was a lovely day.  Lots of children running around, playing and having fun.

These are another friend's two girls.  The youngest is my goddaughter.  They are just lovely and were more than happy to pose for the camera.

Day 162 - Pimms o'clock

It's a lovely, sunny, Friday afternoon.  What better than a cool glass of Pimm's?

Summer fun

The weather has been lovely over the past few weeks - perfect for lazy days with friends.  We had a barbecue at a friend's house this Saturday.  All my friends brought their children along, and they spent the day racing around and leaping in the paddling pool.

Here are some of my favourite pictures from the day.

365 days project - week 23

Day 161 - Marble Madness

My nephew and sister-in-law spent hours putting together the most elaborate 'marble madness' course yesterday.

You drop a marble down one of the tubes and it goes round and round the course until it reaches the bottom.

You'd never guess how many hours of entertainment this can give a 4 year old.

Day 160 - Big Brother

I'm so excited!  Launch night of the last ever Big Brother!!

I really am such a geek about this.

Day 159

My lovely raised beds!  Things are starting to grow very nicely.

Potatoes, salad leaves and broad beans in this one.

Day 158 - Pecans

Day 157 - Sunday Baking

It's become a bit of a Sunday tradition for me to do a bit of baking.

This is a butternut squash, banana and pecan loaf.  It was quite nice, but not amazing.  Probably not one I'll try again for a while.

Day 156 - June Love

I made a little visit to the Oxford Botanic Gardens today, as it was another gorgeous, sunny June day.

It really was beautiful - everything just bursting with colour!

Day 155

It came!  I've finally entered the techonological age and can get rid of my brick-phone which I've had for the last 3 years.

Do you like my rather funky cover?  I like to personalise.

June Colour

It's been glorious and sunny these last few days, so I took a visit to the Oxford Botanic Gardens to capture some of the beautiful summer colours that are starting to burst into bloom.  It really is so lovely and peaceful there.

365 days project - week 22

I've been on half term holidays this week, so have had a good chance to relax and unwind.  The sun has been shining and I feel all refreshed, revitalised and ready for summer!

Day 154 - Waiting

My new iphone is being delivered today! I'm so excited! I can't wait for the delivery man to get here...

Day 153

There are so many pretty colours in my garden now, bursting into life. Expect to see plenty more garden pictures from me over the next weeks and months!

Day 152 - Watching

Day 151 - All Played Out

I was looking after my nephew again today. I took him to the softplay centre where he ran around for 2 hours. We walked all the way there and all the way back, so needless to say, he was spark out when we got in. It gave me a nice, peaceful afternoon, anyway!

Day 150

A quick shot today, taken on my rubbish cameraphone, I'm afraid.

I took my nephew to a funday where he got his face painted.  I think you can just about see the pirate face.  He got up to pose on this horse statue.

Day 149
My mum gave me this charm bracelet when I was about 10. It used to be hers and had lots of her own charms already on it. Over the years, I've collected lots more charms. I love the fact that each one has its own meaning, and whenever I'm wearing it, it means something to me.

Day 148

Just off out, so a quick shot as I do my nails.
